We had some Kale in the house so I tried to figure out how to make it tasty so that a 5 year old and a 10 year old would eat it without complaining. The solution was to turn it into a snack, call it Chips and just don’t mention the Kale part. Worked out! They ate it and even said I should make it again. Huge success! So here’s the as easy as it gets recipe!
Ingredients:
First wash the Kale.
Get the green leafy part of the stems. And rip it into bite size. Doesn’t have to precise.
Sprinkle some Sea Salt or Kosher Salt on top and lightly coat it with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Arrange the kale on an baking sheet so that the pieces don’t overlap. Heat up the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (about 175 degree Celsius) and leave it in for about 20-25 min, depending on how crunchy you like it.
Let it cool down for like 5 minutes and transfer the crunchy chips into a small bowl. As a variation you could also sprinkle some Parmesan on top after you baked it. I can totally see myself munching on those kale chips at night time with a good movie. Its a great variation to regular potato chips and so much healthier! Also I saw kale chips in plenty of supermarkets premade for a ton of money! This recipe will cost you a fraction of what they sell for in stores. Have you ever tried making them?
I’ve made this before, and we really like it!
